2012 Open Gardens Report - see the 2012 poster

Wimbledon & the Grand Prix on the television, it rained, yet 328 visitors paid to tour the open gardens.

People traveled from Worksop, Wakefield, Bridlington, Scarborough, Hornsea and many crossed the Humber to enjoy the open gardens. Many expressed how wonderful the gardens were, every one of them a credit to the owners and great value for the admission money.

I would like to express my thanks to all those who opened their garden, the programme sellers and helpers who assisted in making it a successful event.

Programme sales totaled £1006.50 which, after expenses of £120.49, produced a surplus of £886.01, which will be used for local restoration projects.
