The pavilion has four changing rooms,

Please support your local playing
field. Discos, race nights, quiz and supper evenings can be arranged
to raise funds as well as the annual Gala. The Playing Field is
NOT run by the Parish council (which funds the lease and maintenance
of the site) but development costs are covered by the fund-raising
activities of the Playing Field Association committee.
All the play equipment in the playground
area has been provided through fundraising and has cost tens of
thousands of pounds. The committee also takes care of the day to
day running of the facilities. Many hands make light work - you
could help us by organising fund raising and sports activities,
or just by painting, digging or weeding.
We are always keen to try to include
others in the planning and running of the playing fields (especially
children and young people)

The gala in July was a huge success
and thanks must go to every organisation and individual that gave
up their time and efforts in making the day happen. Gala photos
can be seen on our Facebook
We are always interested in new ideas for the gala, fundraising
and committee support in general. Remember we are a voluntary,
not council run organisation so would welcome any help and support
from people from all walks of life.
We are in particular need of a
gardener/ handy person that may be able to spare a few hours a
month to help keep us tidy and we know now that the position of
chairperson will be available from next year. Use the email above
if you have ideas or can help out.
As cricket season smoothly moves over to football season the playing
fields take on a different look. The park is less used in winter
but the field is a hive of activity at weekends with children
of all ages practicing their skills and learning new ones.
It's the variety of possibilities
on the playing fields that we wish could be used more, we currently
have regular football, cricket and netball teams that use the
facilities but could offer a play space for so much more (rugby,
rounders etc) and if anyone wants to explore this further then
please get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org
