in the Village Hall
Swanland Village Hall is one of the first local community halls to take part in an experiment to bring a “cinema experience” to the villages of East Riding of Yorkshire.

Swanlanders will have no need to get into the car, find somewhere to park and sit in a soulless multiplex cinema with a scattering of unknown other people. They can walk to the centre of the village and experience a social, cinema occasion friends and neighbours.

The experience is as a result of an initiative taken by ArtERY with funding from East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Screen Yorkshire and the Lottery and, if successful, will hopefully spread to other villages in East Yorkshire. (For details of other participating venues contact ArtERY on 01943 607030.)

We are pleased to announce the showings for the coming season. Films normaly start at 7.30 (doors open at 7pm) each month in Swanland Village Hall - which transforms into Swanland Cinema for the Saturday evening. Why not see how this is done? All welcome. Entrance £3.50 (adult) £1.50 (accompanied children) - to include refreshments.
