Annual General Meeting

If you would like to visit or join a friendly caring group of ladies, then do please get in touch before visiting to ensure we can accommodate you and also to find out more via swanlandwi@eastyorkshirewi.org.uk or 077 86130 279. Our meetings are normally held on the first Wednesday of the month within the Village Hall – with the exception of July (when we are out and about on an outing).

Not all Jam and Jerusalem!

Some members are good at making jam, some are not. Some excel at cakes and pastries and some definitely do not! Some love gardening, amateur dramatics, travel, handicrafts, discussing current affairs etc.

But we all have in common that we enjoy meeting together and learning something new – preferably with some humour thrown in. This may be through an entertaining speaker, a quiz or workshop of some kind.

We also enjoy outings and suppers, walks and lunches between the monthly meetings throughout the year.

In addition to events arranged by our own Institute and County Federation, the National WI organises events and campaigns.

The former Denman College now operates as an online "Learning Hub". Offering free courses to members and is also available to non-members for a fee.
